An unmarked hole in the wall, this is the go-to for authentic Japanese food in the International District. There's a sushi bar and handful of tables that fill-up quickly. [Eater 38 Member]

Got their tempura UDON! Love that they give variety/generous amt of tempura and their soup was perfect. Just what I needed on a cold, cloudy Seattle day. My friend got Curry Katsu which was also good!

Great place for authentic japanese food. Tasty, great atmosphere, and people. However, it is a little difficult to find since there is no English name in front of the place. So look for 515!

Fridays are Ramen days. Be prepared to wait in line before the doors open. If you don't get seated in the first seating, you're likely not to get any. Lunch can be fairly quick, in and out in 30mins.

Excellent Japanese food at this tiny spot in the international district. The sushi is great, as well as the other dishes on the menu. Check the specials board.

The service was attentive, the yellowtail was delicious, and the saba shioyaki was just right. I surprised myself by really enjoying the spicy creamy scallop roll, which is not normally my style.

Sit at the sushi bar if you can, Sho is awesome. Sushi is good, and Sho gets super creative with his Omakase! But can't get a better Katsu-don anywhere else.

The Friday lunch special of Shoyu Ramen and Gyoza with Rice is a bargain, but be prepared, as it draws big crowds and sells out.

If you can get the reservations in advance to save any hassle, it's hard to find since no sign in front at first but you'll see small restaurant you found rift one

Sit at the sushi bar if you can; get the Omakase if its your first time. Sho's great with introducing new creations you wouldn't expect!

The Tsukushi (noodle dish) is amazingly flavorful, and the sake and ikura sushi are fresh. Great service despite a busy night

Order the omakase or anything from the sushi bar! Super busy on Fridays for their Tokyo ramen and gyoza combo.

The potential of this place far surpasses the meal I had tonight. If I could be at a regular at any one sushi bar on the west coast...well, friend, this would be it. ❤

The history of a transplanted culture is still wonderfully fragrant in ID places like Kobo, the Panama Hotel, and hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop joints like Tsukushinbo. Leggi tutto

Were turned off by the seating procedures, but mostly forgave this since the meal tasted great. But both my date & myself got sick within 20 minutes of finishing & had to race home for the bathroom

Great food, super friendly chef, and the rolls are way bigger than neighboring Maneki. Worth the trip if you can find it :)

Cheap and amazing! Under-spoken with no sign and slightly dirty lanterns... but sushi no one could scoff at. I recommend just loading up on rolls.

Disappoint. I had the ramen lunch special and a negihama roll. Flaccid greasy gyoza and a mouthful of rice in a bowl appeared first. Gross and stingy all at once. The ramen was ok. Roll had no flavor

There's no sign on the door and because it is so small, you definitely should call ahead and reserve a spot.

The lady server is pretty rude. It is understood that this is a family run establishment and they are busy but if you want to be rude to customers because the place is busy then get some more help.
