Great history, and rather surreal as you go from site to site, and each are surrounded by tall buildings, cars, etc., modern day Boston. Bring water if it's a hot, humid day, like ours was.

After you're done walking the Freedom Trail take a ride to Cambridge and relax in one of the lawn chairs in the Harvard yard. By the time you're done with the trail it will feel like heaven!

Do a walking tour down the historic Freedom Trail marked by lines of red paint in sidewalks. Places you’ll pass by are old State House, Paul Revere’s house, and Faneuil Hall. A must-do when in Boston!

The most touristy thing to do in Boston but you HAVE to walk it once. Goes through many historical sites and is a great way to kill an afternoon. Lot of the stops require cash admittance.

This is an outdoor trail so better if you can do this in the late spring, summer, or early fall. Great way to see the historic sites of the city by foot!

A great way to see the best of Boston. It's an easy walk, you can take plenty of side trips along the way, and there's a red line to keep you on track.

Divide it in two and walk half one day, the other half the next, devoting some time to enjoying the surrounding neighborhoods. It's the best way to put history in context with the modern city. Leggi tutto
