Part of the infamous Golden Circle, this Geysir park is exploited to the max for mass tourism. If you want to enjoy it in peace (assuming it's summer) visit it at midnight for a unique experience. Leggi tutto
This is my Geysir. I know it is sleeping, and my Strokkur is erupting more right now (but all the geysers in the world are named after it, so please show some respect and try not to fall into it).
Part of a Golden CircleTour. It is strickingly amazing. Be careful, it is 80-100 degrees, and don't step on anywhere other than designated walking pavement. It is really hot!
Nature can be so phenomenal!!! This place is definitely a crowd puller.. loved the experience of the geysir shooting up.. red soil.. boiling water.. had never imagined such things could be real..
One of the most important attractions of the Golden Circle. Stokkur pops every 5-6 minutes.. In the opposite side there is a touristy coffee-restaurant and some gift shops. Too expensive though.
It was a bit of a rainy day, but honestly mostly it was a couple of acres of smelly steaming pools. The geysir that erupts is sufficiently fun to make it a worthwhile trip despite the tourist horde
Halló, this is Iceland on the Foursquare. Welcome to my Geysir.... I know it is sleeping, but all the geysers in the world are named after it, so please show some respect and try not to fall into it. Watch out for Strokkur. It is not not sleeping.(Mostra altri)
