Lots of wildlife and interesting plants can be spotted along the trail. Keep an eye out for the blooms of the Dutchman's Pipe on the south side between Arlington and Columbia.

More trees/shade would be welcome! I love the trail, but I hate the inevitable sunburn (even with sweat-proof spf 55). Go early to prevent a not-so-awesome workout sunburn!

Per City of Houston: "always be courteous to everyone while on the trails, pedestrians and runners have the same rights of access to the off-street bikeways too." That's to you, rude woman cyclist.

Part of the City of Houston Bikeway System that runs mostly west/east. If you are looking to check into the jogging trail that runs north up Heights Blvd, search for the Paul Carr Jogging Trail.

One of the great additions to the Houston Bikeway System that connects the Houston Heights heading towards Downtown. Hit up the Nicholson bike trial also!

Cyclists: dog walkers and other pedestrians are more likely to step out of your path if you ring a bell or call out "on your left."

To Obnoxious rude woman on bike: the signs read "No motor vehicles" not "No dogs." Fail Kindergarten, eh?It's not too late: Learn to share.
