Nice long beach to run on and check out the tide pools. Gets really crowded in late afternoons.
Cioppino is very filling and is loaded with good seafood. Just be aware that they don’t have a lot of what is listed on their website.
Good place to see sea otters and seals. Best viewing is at the end of the road at the channel opening to the ocean. Love the Sea Otter crossing sign.

Great beach - perfect for kids to swim in the river and catch little fish. Awesome to be floating with pelicans. Nice hike and views from the meadows on the far side.
Beautiful mission with a good museum that documents the history of the peninsula. Just wish they went into the native enslavement a bit more.
The Nantucket of the West Coast. Stunning beaches, gorgeous homes, good food. I just wish it was a bit more diverse. A lovely place to walk and get lost in the morning fog among the cypress trees.
Really large garden that features mostly native plants. A good place to wander away the morning before it gets too hot.
Cute little old lighthouse and Victorian buildings. Cool place to explore and worth the hot walk from the parking lot.
Nice little state park with some pretty amazing surf crashing on the headlands. A great place to walk when the waves are big.

Dahlias for days - they are the standout at this immaculately kept garden with many different areas to explore. Perfect on a cloudy morning when the colors pop more against the sky.
A little tricky to find for a tourist but a great spot on the river with good food right over the water.
