Fun modern Italian joint. The Negroni olive jello is ridiculously good and the rib parmigiana is delicious but can be a bit much. Free bubbly is always welcome. Nice staff.

Beautiful hiking area, close to the west side of phoenix with great trails and feels secluded even if it’s not. Desert tortoise loop is east and fun.

Surprisingly awesome restaurant tucked away in a side street of Ventura. Great patio and cocktail program. The food is playful and delicious with the Caribbean fish stew, fish dip and key lime winners
Incredible venue with great acoustics. Fun to explore the interior architecture and roof garden during intermission.
Not so fried chicken sandwich and Cobb Salad are great - make sure to sample the curried couscous, it’s amazingly addictive.
Great classical theater in Pasadena. Everyone is super friendly and there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
Good dinner option when going to the Pantages as it’s right across the street. Ok back patio and decent sushi and cocktails. Good service.
Good pizza and lox salad. A bit hard to find but nice outdoor seating. Staff is a bit odd but a decent option in the Hollywood/Vine hellscape.
Really great castle to visit with especially with kids. You feel that you can wander the place on your own and explore. Stairs are steep be the views of the alps worth it.

For good or for ill, the best ride in the park. The most value for Lego and roller coaster as you’ll get. Go early and get a few rides in a row with no wait.

Fascinating collection of work from the 19th and 20th centuries. A good crash corse is Swiss art with some remarkable work by Hodler and his contemporaries. A nice place to spend a late afternoon.
Fascinating look at the early life of this genius. Wish we had more time to completely absorb. Kids love the staircase entrance.
Funky and esoteric museum that illuminates the Swiss alps by focusing on small communities and telling their stories. One of the only places to sell the Swiss Museum Pass.
Beautiful stained glass and wood carvings inside the church. Be sure to climb up the tower for an amazing view. The climb up and down is not good for those with vertigo.
Nice promenade park with an amazing fire of the Alps on a clear day. Good place for a run in the morning
Truly stupendous museum with a really in-depth look at all the periods of history in the city. Great outdoor beer and food garden in the summer. Will take more time than you think.
