eric bornemann: Great trail with tremendous views over the valley. Mine is cool but there’s not much to poke around as it’s fenced off. If not doing the loop trail, go up the rise after the mine for a great view.
eric bornemann: Shockingly good sushi in the desert (where it seems like there shouldn’t be). The specialty rolls are huge and the bento boxes great value. Only downside is all the styrofoam for takeout.
eric bornemann: One of the most beautiful places in the entire park. About 7 miles round trip hike, first thru an endless sea of Joshua Trees and then into the heart of the Wonderland of Rocks. So peaceful and empty.
eric bornemann: Short trail that goes to an abandoned mining site that is surprisingly intact. Flat easy walk with beautiful views and interesting history.
