The Louvre started out as a fortress in the 12th Century. Beautiful building housing some impressive art. Mona Lisa a lot smaller than you'd imagine

The best city in the world to get lost in. New discovery around every corner. Get off at a random metro stop and just start walking
Fantastic salt mine tour on a train! The slides and the brine river were both fun and unexpected! Cheeky drivers try and extort huge tips out of u at the end which ruined it a little
The bus ride to the top is both unnerving and spectacular - just adds to the drama. Very weird going up in the lift then looking round and thinking about the historical significance of here.
Beautiful little town - worth a visit after the Eagles Nest. Lots of nice coffee shops

Bratwurst and fries the order of the day! Expensive food and drink but outdoor seating and a great view of the Krimml Waterfalls justifies the expense
Stunning waterfall - well worth a visit. Restaurant at the top serves a good bratwurst and fries. You'll need it - knackering walk. Spray from the fall can damage your camera - be quick taking photos
Fantastic scenery and beautiful waterfalls. Difficult to find all the walking trails and can be hard going in places... I suspect we got lost!
Nice place to chill out with a coffee and cake - free wifi if you ask for the code. Not that many cats about!!!

Good for a potter. Marine fish don't appear well cared for. Plants expensive, but excellent Sunday lunch and big portions
Good place to stop for an early tea on way home from the theme park. The pies come recommended - good ale selection. I believe it can get rammed at night
The only ride at Alton Towers I still don't like going on. Probably the only one likely to leave a mess in your pants
