Wow! It's a Stephen King movie, not Stanley Kubrick and none of "The Shining" was actually shot here. I'm floored that no one seems to know that!

If you have a ghost in your room and you dont want to be bothered ask it to leave... in our case ask 4 different times nicely.

Crazy haunted. You can sometimes see your own image suddenly appear against a wall. Oh wait, that's a mirror. Never mind. Still a cool old hotel.

Very gimmicky and over-priced. Most of the employees are grouchy and unfriendly. Oh and paid $500 for an upgraded experience only to find out there's no breakfast for people staying in main building.

Tough Call. Pretty to look at, but because it's an old building, you can hear even the most normal conversation in your neighbor's room. Burned out by the endless tourist throng, staff manners suck.

If you stay, they have one TV channel that continuously plays The Shining (though, as others have said, none of the movie was filmed here).

next time Im doing the Ghost Hunt Tour. You actually ghost hunt with people that specialize in paranomal activities..... This is where Stephen King got his idea for the shining....
