Gallery Reception, 1/15, 4pm: View the history of the civil rights movement and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr throughout the history of FSU. Gallery is open all week to the public and is free.
NAACP Freedom March, 1/16, 12:30pm: Community march organized by the FSU NAACP Chapter to symbolize solidarity and reflect on the marches of the civil rights movement. Free & open to the public.
Commemorative Celebration featuring Nikki Giovanni, 1/16, 2pm: Features include student performances, scholarship awards, & a keynote address by the legendary Nikki Giovanni. Free/open to the public.
Night of the Arts, 1/17, 8pm: Singers, dancers, artists and other student performers come together in an evening to embrace the dream and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Free/open to the public.
BSU Black Film Festival, 1/19, 4pm: FSU’s Black Student Union presents the inaugural 2013 Black Film Festival, celebrating African-America cinema. Free/open to the public.
Day of Service, 1/21, 8:45am-2pm: Check in or register at the Integration Statue. FSU students, faculty and staff will serve the Tallahassee community. Pre-registration is required for students.
