Founded in 1926, we used to go to newer 1 near interstate but it closed. This just 5-6 min further. Large servings, good bbq & O-rings, unique slaw (pink w/tangy vinegar). Cool, old decor & ceilings.
Popular spot in the area & I like the faith-friendly signs & such. I don’t drink coffee but they have a selection of teas & a hot or frozen chocolate drink, baked goods, etc.
So glad we tried it. Formerly McElwees, new owner very friendly. Fish & chips & hush puppies to share excellent. Many beer choices; sample the drafts. Wife wants to order a T-shirt when restocked.
