Holy Cross Peoria

Douglas O. Handrich serves as the Pastor at Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peoria, Illinois. In this role, Pr. Handrich cares for the congregation and administers the Holy Sacraments of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. Pr. Handrich will gladly meet with potential new members and provide them instruction in the doctrine of the church. Worship at Holy Cross in Peoria is based on the Lutheran Confessions as written in the Book of Concord in 1580. The Book of Concord is accepted by Holy Cross and all other Lutheran churches as exposition on the Sacred Scriptures. In addition to providing spiritual leadership to Peoria’s Holy Cross congregation, Pr. Handrich is the Executive Director of Child Care Services for Holy Cross Lutheran Preschool & Child Care. The center has been offering services for both church members and non-members since 1990.
