Heaven on 7 is a legendary restaurant in Chicago. That's because flavors in each dish are amazing, service is fantastic, and it is FUN! Treat yourself and a friend and go there and experience this!

Gumbo, jambalaya, corn bread, collard greens. This is my favorite spot in the entire city, truly a hidden gem.

I love the deboration and atmosphere of this place. Pure soul food and Cajun creole cuisine from NOLA. I recommend the fried green tomatos, jambalaya, and shrimp Po' Boy.

The jambalaya is one of my favorite comfort foods (w a cup o' gumbo, of course). The LSD (Louisiana Soul Deluxe) is great, too. Go during Thanksgiving week to get a turkey dinner unlike any other!

A little taste of New Orleans in Chicago hidden away on the 7th Floor. They had all the classics which were cooked perfectly.

Absolutely loved the gumbo! I think my taste buds are completely shot, tho; the shrimp linguini was really good, but the Angry Sauce (supposedly the hottest) was nothing ...

Order chicken fried steak. If you're fish/shellfish allergic like me, the chicken & andouille sausage gumbo is a tasty substitute for any of the gumbos w/shrimp w/out feeling like you're missing out.

My Southern oasis in the city! I come here whenever I need to unwind at lunch. The red beans and rice are to die for, and the restaurant is unlike anything else in the loop.

Good food, been around a long time, this is the original location which serves better food than the chain locations. The Gumbo is what everyone goes there for, so give it a try.

Yes please. Gumbo is to die for. I recommend the "slap my ass and call me Sally" hot sauce, it is also fantastic.
