Michelle T. • Febbraio 3, 2013Best sushi in Chicago. Amazing bites of fresh fish in inventive preparations. I love this place. Basically order every roll on the menu, both pearl apps, and try the specials!
Thomas B. • Agosto 17, 2021Hiroshima style was our favorite. Great drinks as well. Food comes out and it laid down on a center table “hot plate” of sorts. Great place for dates
Gi@n C. C. • Settembre 14, 2014Locale alla moda, ottimo servizio, molto rumoroso (tavoli ravvicinati, i camerieri ci passano appena), porzioni minime, costoso soprattutto le bevande (8$ bottiglia d'acqua Panna, vino dai 40$ in sù)
John K. • Marzo 28, 2016A great group/date spot for a dressy casual hip for the Japanese cuisine. The sushi/sashimi is beyond excellent. Make sure you get yellowtail, because it will literally melt in your mouth.
Bjolner G. • Agosto 12, 2014Grab some Asahi here. It's one of my favorite Japanese beers.
Melissa E. • Marzo 25, 2015Really wonderful ramen!! Never disappointed. Good rolls to be had as well. Truly a hidden neighborhood gem.
Serious Eats • Maggio 20, 2013Tonkotsu Ramen: The pork cheek served in the ramen is tender and flavorful in a broth that is comforting.
Karl Z. • Giugno 9, 2013During the week the lunch specials are an amazing deal. You get a ton of food for the price, no need to order any appetizers, you'll have plenty to eat for around $10.
Jessica M. • Marzo 11, 2012Great sushi, udon, teriyaki beef, and all meals come with soup, salad, and a veggie appetizer and orange slices finish.
Namon S. • Dicembre 23, 2011The best sushi ever! Must do spicy salmon salad, goma-ae, hirame ponzu for starter and go for crunchy maki, special Cali and shitake, also never missed sushi/sashimi those all fresh serving.
Chicago Tribune • Gennaio 23, 2015This very simple space produces some unique sushi creations. The tightly focused menu makes the best use of the chef's artistry and creativity. Try the special king and queen nigiri.
Stacy B. • Gennaio 6Pork belly buns are the best! Umami ramen (spicy miso) is my favorite, but get the flavor you prefer. Food tastes best when the tables are busy and kitchen is moving quickly.
Bobby K. • Dicembre 10, 2018A great informal alternative to upstairs. The chicken karaage and the spaghetti were standouts.
Lee S • Marzo 8, 2012Best miso soup ever! Strong flavor + edamame + foam on top
Time Out Chicago • Gennaio 18, 2018Takeya’s chewy egg noodles complement hunks of tender pork belly, making the Tokyo Classic shoyu. Wash it all down with smooth Japanese whiskey over ice or a classic, crisp Sapporo.
Jyoti G. • Gennaio 14, 2016easily the best oyster shooter i've had in chicago. highly recommended. great value as well, 2 shots with a total of 4 oysters for only $10
Carolyn P. • Agosto 31, 2010Japanese comfort food and sushi bar in West Town. Sushi chef BK Park creates beautiful and delicious combinations, with the freshest ingredients. Hot items include ramen noodles, short ribs, and rice
Tanas H. • Agosto 22, 2012Super good. Unique maki but not inauthentic. Not afraid to use spicy elements like chili oil and jalapeno. Oh and open really late on weekdays!
Eylul S. • Febbraio 19, 2014Everything is delicious. Sushi with asparagus is my favorite. Be sure you still have room for a milkshake.
Adam B. • Giugno 23, 2013Crunchy Spicy Calamari Roll, it's not on the menu but it is far and above the best roll I've ever had in my life (and I've been to Japan and every other sushi place in Chicago!). Best Spicy Tuna too!
Gina • Aprile 10, 2017Went with my boyfriend and got the bibimbap! Absolutely loved it. The meat was seasoned similar to Dak. We ordered beef bibimbap, pineapple soju, and duck curry. Everything was seasoned just right!
