There is some good shopping airside, world duty free, mac, Kurtz Geiger, boots, dixons.
Ganesh MurthyGiugno 7, 2018EDI has only 1 terminal. Checking in and bag drop is slower - fewer counters. Security screening flags lot of bags but most times nothing is found. Arrive early! Lounge is very average.

The £1 drop off charge is a nice wee indicator of the contempt which this airport has for you :)

Have ever seen a more ridiculous security check? They have totalled over engineered it which make it actually slower.

There's a new bus route straight from Glasgow to Edinburgh airport - very handy!

Try chilling around gate 7 nice and quiet - well some of the time
often long queues at security in the morning as they don't open all security lanes so arrive early!

Drop off shuttle includes the Hilton so can jump on or off on to save going inside airport
Nero at gate 7 bakes its pastries fresh on site. You get them still got first thing.
Don't wear an airside pass when catching a flight as they aren't allowed to serve you alcohol with one. I learnt the hard way
Fast track security queue is often longer than the regular queue, save your money!

Every time I've flown from here it's been late in the day with a BA or EZY flight back to London. Never had a queue for security in all the times I've been here.
