If you can, avoid the crowds! Take the 10-15 minute walk to the view bridge of the castle - great angle for pictures. Castle is amazing and worth the trip.

Very modern, hip hotel. Located near busy nightlife streets and the hotel’s own bar/restaurant gets busy on the weekends. Request a room facing the train tracks, which will (surprisingly) be quieter.
Open air biergarten / beer garden in the heart of downtown in the market. Perfect place to take a break from site seeing, rest your feet and enjoy a cold litre of beer, and a pretzel too.
Thai in Munich, why not?! Owner and her staff were very attentive, providing great recommendations and overview of the somewhat limited menu. Everything was tasty and affordable!
Worth the trek to this hidden Greek gem! Was so hungry, forgot to take the before photo, but the gyro plate was excellent and grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. Servers were awesome too!
Only verbal menus and small seating area, but a definite must in Hamburg! Fresh salmon ravioli was amazing and a healthy portion. Staff is friendly and helpful to English-speaking tourists.
Don’t be discouraged by the line, it goes fast! Sandwiches were good - salmon a little dry, fried fish too much sauce - but lots of options for all to try. Seating turns over quickly or take away!

Known as a gin bar, but have a full bar with all sorts of spirits, wine, and beer. Good place to people watch or grab a drink on your way into or out of Lubeck!
Delish! Everything was great - calamari, flank steak, truffle pasta! Service was excellent too and friendly staff. Reservations recommend. Signature Vai Cocktail is a little sweet though.
