This iconic boardwalk still remains quite an escape from the city. Also you can't go wrong with a hot dog from Nathan's.

Carnivalesque boardwalk and (not a very nice) beach. Good for people watching all of the weirdos and wandering around. Take a ride on the ferris wheel and eat fried dough with sugar or a hot dog.

Expect large crowds, but definitely worth a stroll--fun vibe with a mix of crowds. Make sure to grab a hot dog or lobster roll.

Coney Island is looking better. It has new rides at Luna Park & cheap baseball games at the home of the Cyclones. The beach/ boardwalk are still a work in progress but I love the Aquarium.

born here.as a kid here in summers to swim eat ride the cyclone..40 yrs later i visit here and ran the full boardwalk recently and its a treat for the eyes.
