You can actually skip the long line for tickets at the front if you walk up the stairs and go towards the middle of the area with the hanging strings from the ceiling.
Lines are unavoidable here but for good reason. Variety is key, so opt for a split scoop and try multiple favors. They are very generous and patient with samples so go wild. I like the salted caramel.

Take an improv class here. This type of thing is fairly uncommon in Amsterdam and it's a blast. The €30 price tag is a bit easier to swallow if you see their improv show later on at night.
Weirdly nice seats here, full leather chairs. You'd think they'd recline but they don't. Tends to run advertisements after the showtime though.

Easily the most beautiful theme park I have ever been to, it's like if Disneyland had a baby with a nice Botanical Garden. Reasonably priced for what you get, a must for anyone visiting Holland
best time to go is when they are about to open or about to close, park in their underground garage versus braving the horrible Connecticut drivers above. Maybe order a hot dog from the foot court...
UPDATE: if you want reclining seats, theater seven has them. Their Widescreen atmos screen, when selecting seats go for the row with the significant gap.
Phenomenal dumplings! You can easily get completely full for less than five bucks here. However, if you are down for spending a little extra, the Scallion Peking Duck Pancake is really rad too!
