Chris Cookson: Probably the only stoner skater punk Chinese restaurant you'll ever go to. Their lunch combination is an insane deal, can easily feed two people. Highly recommend their Coconut Curry & Ginger Chicken
Chris Cookson: a fun, grungy beach that represents a last vestige of sleazy American amusement. A lot of fun culture here, a constant guitar player on roller skates, boarding culture and drum circles every Sunday

Chris Cookson: Come here and have a burrito that would make me believe in God. Their smothered Carne Asada Burrito is so good, just the right level of spiciness and flavor and of course their Guac's incredible.
Chris Cookson: Open late but homeless tend to gather around outside in the parking lot when the sun goes down. Keep an eye out for their free Friday digital coupons!

Chris Cookson: pricey, on top of a $20 ticket the food is expensive for what is standard Denny's fare. However, you can't deny the luxury watching a movie, reclined with a button to have someone bring you nachos.
Chris Cookson: There is a significantly nicer El Pollo Loco over on Lincoln and Pico if you want to drive another five minutes down but if you are in a pinch and want decent enough food for cheap, this works.

Chris Cookson: a comparatively cheap, greasy, Greek style pie which is unique enough try. Your parents and grandparents probably loved this place if you grew up in Stamford. Iconic in that regard.

Chris Cookson: One of my favorite movie theaters, does a lot of cool screenings many of which with the director doing a Q&A afterwards. If you can't go out, many of their films are streaming simultaneously on VOD

Chris Cookson: Their Cult Classics screenings are always a good time, they usually give away posters and have trivia questions before the movie starts. Their vintage trailers tend to repeat from time to time.
Chris Cookson: I always make a stop by this place whenever I'm in the area. Such a charming oddity with its rom com heritage on every inch of the walls. Some nods to Mystic native screenwriter Jason Filardi as well!
Chris Cookson: Movies will very rarely sell out on the Optimum Rewards free tuesday. 3D films cost an extra $3.50 a ticket and are often projected on an area much smaller than the actual screen. A lot of trailers.

Chris Cookson: One of the essential places to visit if you love illustration, Tim Burton or German Expressionism. Place has a lot of charm, cross-hatched drawings and a really friendly old fat cat on a diet.
