- During the winter, weekdays are free to enter. Some of the exhibits may be closed because of the snow.

- raymondweilSettembre 15, 2011This botanical garden has 13 themed gardens, including a cherry esplanade! No concrete jungle here, only beautiful blooms swaying in the breeze. Be independent, and admire these natural works of art.
- Esplanade's only place in BBG where lawn-sitting is allowed. The Sakura Matsuri festival every May is good fun, but if you want to avoid crowds and see the trees in bloom, come a week or two earlier.
