Asheville Regional Airport (AVL)

The TSA people are really nice, very understand and accommodating. I have to fly with a bunch of medical liquids, and they handled it better than big international airports do. Thank you guys.

Very easy experience, only need to arrive 45mins before flight on the busiest days! And everyone here is very friendly. I love this airport.

Best airport in the US... It's so small that you can arrive 40 minutes prior to flying and still have time to grab a Highland beer :) And the staff couldn't be friendlier!

What I love about regional airports! Easy in and out, checkin just feet from the auto drop off.

Nice regional airport. You can usually save a few hundred going to CLT or GVL so plan accordingly.

Small convenient Airport. TSA very friendly and quick. Also has the cutest airport bar.

One of the friendliest airport I've ever been to. Airport staff are amazing!

I highly recommend the Biltmore pinot noir, you can drink it at the bar or bring a bottle home! Or both!

Nice small airport. Easy parking. No hassle security

The airport is small which is fine, but don't expect baggage claim to tell you where your luggage is. All of the digital signage was inaccurate causing two flights of people to wander around.

I get the impression they dive more people to Charlotte than fly them there

Blue Ridge Tavern was surprisingly good airport food! Great beers on tap also!

Be sure to check out the wall dedicated to films that were filmed in western North Carolina.

Other posts about quick processing through TSA were NOT my early morning experience. TSA line took one hour!

TSA sure takes their time. If I was in a hurry this would have been a major problem. Took ~20 mins to search my bags...

Normally a clear security line, but not Tuesday nights! Leave extra time then.

Whoever said NC state law prohibits alcohol sales before noon is wrong. That's only on Sunday.
